emergency plan

If there was a tornado out of nowhere at school I would have a very smart plan.My plan will be to immediately get away from any windows. After I did this I would then proceed to the nearest stairwell and try my best to go the fastest i can to get to the bottom floor. In this case just knowing myself I would still be a little paranoid so just be safe i will get under something strong enough to protect me if something falls or breaks. Finally the game everybody hates i would wait until it is over and pray for my safety. If I get lucky enough by doing all of this in my opinion i would have a really good chance at surviving and being saved by help like firefighters, policemen and more. To improve survival with myself and everyone else I would have to say we have to work together and be calm because if everyone is panicking a lot can go wrong.

Shark Tank v. Marcus Lemonis --Aja Rayfield

Marcus Lemonis is definitely a better investor. In Shark Tank, you have a few minutes to pitch your project and try to convince random strangers to throw money your way. Whereas Marcus Lemonis goes into your business, he sees the issues head-on and in person. From there he decides whether or not to invest his money. He makes sure that you see the issues and why your business is struggling.  I would trust Marcus Lemonis more when it comes to investing and adding people to my company. I need someone who relates to everyday issues and will be hands-on when it comes to developing a successful company.

The militarization and the advancement of police forces around the country have been an ongoing debate for some time now. Minority Report is one of many films which shows the implications of having an infallible police force. An infallible police state is when the police hold on to a lot of power and are never wrong in the eyes of the law. This is illustrated in Minority Report as precrime which is a system used to stop murders before they even happen. This system gave police undeniable power and ended up putting a lot of people away. In the context of today's society, I do understand that precrime would stop a lot of senseless and violent crimes, however, giving the police all of that power could be damaging to disenfranchised groups of people who already suffer under the current state of police in our society. The movie also showed that precrime was not always necessarily right and there were some anomalies that showed alternate futures for the would-be murderers...

For my product, Shark Tank would be better than The Profit.  I say this because, Marcus Lemonis is investing in businesses that are close to shutting down while Shark Tank invests in new business ideas. Shark tank might see the value in my product and give me money to use to produce my product

Pre-crime is an endorsement of technology by society. In an era where technology influences every facet of our lives, the conclusion to use technology in crime is a logical one. While technology is very useful, a line has to be drawn. When we use the judgment of technology to determine guilt over humans, this indicates a loss of humanity in society. A human crime cannot be determined by something that is not human, making the system fallible by nature. Furthermore, if the future is known by those involved in it, they may directly influence it and if they are aware, a different outcome may happen. The only way for this technology to be infallible would be if no one knew its predictions, however, if this is the case the system becomes inherently useless.

Pre-Crime as a sign of an infallible police state 1) The term "infallible police state" refers to the advertised success rate of the Pre-Crime program. In the movie the police have a 90% success rate in stopping murders, this method yields results that tend to be without fail. 2) I believe this type of policing wouldn't be plausible in our society. Not only would it be the cause of public outrage over the invasion of privacy yet it would also be likely impossible to enact such a program into cities across the US. The crime in major cities is too vast to be fixed by such a direct solution. 3) This program would be most useful in stopping crimes of domestic abuse being that Pre-Crime is most effective against crimes of passion.

Pre-crime as a sign of the power of an infallible police state. 1) An infallible police state is a police that is unable to make mistakes or incapable of being wrong. At the beginning of the movie, John is trying to convince Danny Witwer that pre-crime was in fact infallible. At the time, John did believe this because he was unaware of the minority reports. Everyone believed that no mistakes were made because the murders would have happened if they weren't there to stop it. 2) Of course and infallible police state would be ideal for our society, then there would be no crime. But as we see in the movie, even if we have a way to see the future there is still a flaw and there is still a way to beat the system. 3) The shooting at the Tree of Life Synogague could have been avoided if precrime existed and were infallible. If the police knew that the shooting was going to happen they could've stopped the 11 people who were killed from losing their lives.

In an infallible police state is the when there's a system that doesn't make mistakes in catching criminals. In Minority Report, the pre-crime system is fallible so it does make mistakes in catching criminals. An example of this is when Lamar paid a guy with nothing to lose to try and kill Ann Lively.  When the guy wasn't able to do that, the police put him in a halo.  After that, Lamar killed Ann lively in the same location and clothes so that it looked like it was just an echo.  In a perfect society, there would be a 100% foolproof system, but pre-crime is not one.  In our society, a perfect system probably will never exist.

In an infallible police state is the idea that there is a system in place that makes no mistake in catching criminals. However, in Minority Report, the pre-crime system is shown to be fallible. The issue arises that the public and most of the people working for pre-crime believe it to be true. In an ideal society, there would be a 100% foolproof system, but pre-crime is not one. However, realistically, a perfect system probably will never exist so it may be best to remove the term "infallible police" from all use but speculation. In countries such as North Korea the police are infallible, but not because they are never wrong, but rather anyone to insinuate otherwise is committing treason. In systems where no fair trial is given, they don't have to be correct to prosecute. The same goes for countries we see as fair, such as Japan, where only one percent of defendants get acquitted.

1)An infallible police state is when the police do not make any mistakes. The whole process of handling crime is perfect and no has no flaws. The police system in Minority Report is said to be infallible by the people who live in the area. The administrators and everyone who works at the police department think that their method is flawless because the murder and crime rate has decreased drastically since they began using this system. 2)I don’t think that this should be used in our society because it is not flawless. The creator of the system herself said that the whole thing is very flawed and that innocent people have had their lives taken away because of this. I think that there is a lot of room for error with this system. People do not always act upon what they are thinking and the whole future telling thing can’t always be so reliable. John Anderton, the chief of the whole department, was a victim of the whole method himself. John was set up by Lamar so that he would kill the m...

Will Chehab Pre Crime

I will be analyzing pre crime as a sign of a totally protective government. To be a totally protective government means to have control over the people and their actions. You don't let people have free will in every situation in order to control their mindset. Pre crime instills fear in individuals to think of a murder because they will get caught, yet it is protective because it stops murders before they take place. The government is totally protective of the people and its murders, but not totally protective in other crimes like rape or kidnappings. I don't think this term should be apart of our society. I feel like a totally protective government hurts the people because it puts too much on hypotheticals, like how the pre crime is the prediction of murders, and it causes for innocent people to be locked up. A government should be protective, but not totally protective. The government right now is trying to be protective of our borders (specifically Mexico) but they are tear ...

1) A totally proctective government is a government that will do anything for the safety of the majority of its citizens. This includes disregarding their privacy, and potentially endangering, or worsening conditions for a few to make life better for everybody else. This is basically the premise of the enitre movie. The government has found a way to completely cut out murders, and while it comes at the cost of the lives of the precogs and Anne Lively, they decide the ends justify the means, and saving the lives of everyone else is worth ruining the lives of a few. 2) I don't think governments should be all protective, especially in the way shown in the movie. I think it is unfair for the government to sacrafice the lives of few to protect the many. The government is not meant to act as a God and decide life and death they are just supposed to write and enforce laws. In addition, the way the government acts in this movie is by stopping crimes before they happen, this aspect of this...

Define Term: An endorsement of technology by society means that society is accepting and approving the use of technology that is being used. An endorsement is a form of public support or approval. In the movie Minority Report society in Washington DC endorsed all the different technology that was being used by the pre crime unit. Should this term be used as part of the society? I think that endorsement of technology by society should be used by society. I think this because technology is constantly growing and society needs to support it for the most part. The technology that we have today to help us with our everyday tasks would not be here if society had not supported it. I think when the technology will only end up causing negative effects on society we should not endorse it. Recent events in the news: I think that if this technology had been in place the parkland high school shooting would not have occurred. I think the the pre crime unit could have predicted that the gu...

Ben Bruns A totally protective government is a government which goes to extraordinary measures and controls a large amount of power so that it can successfully monitor and “protect” its citizens. While I believe that the government has a responsibility to protect its citizens to the best of its ability, I also believe that it is vital to a free society that a government not become overly powerful over the people. The people must be more powerful than the government and in a protective government, hyper surveillance is required for a totally protective government to be able to operate. Pre crime would have prevented the Las Vegas shooting because they could have seen the murders ahead of time and they could have prepared to stop the shooter.

Pre-crime as a sign of a totally protective government. Each time someone had an idea of killing or hurting someone else the government would be notified and come to take that person. This is an example of a protective government. The government is trying to protect the people if it’s country and by doing that they are taking away all of the crime and violence in the world. I do not think the over protective government in the movie should be a part of our government because it takes away people’s privacy. The government is constantly watching everyone and even if you do not physically try to kill someone, and you only think about it, the government will still take you. This also leaves a place for error. Since they are using technology, they cannot be 100% positive that everyone they take is the one doing the harm. If pre-crime was taken place today, the school shootings that are going on might not happen. In a more protective government, all of the shootings could be preven...

Pre-crime as a sign of a totally powerful government. 1) This means that pre-crime is used to completely watch over all actions made in society. The government of pre-crime is able to read people's minds and know everything that is going on. In the movie, the government has complete power because they are able to know everything about everyone's lives and look through their thoughts. 2) I don't think that this should be applied in our lives today because it gives the government too much power and there is no type of privacy for citizens. 3) If pre-crime was in action, perhaps many murders in the U.S today would have been prevented since pre-crime would be able to control the arrests of intentional murder thoughts.

Pre-Crime as a sign of the power of an infallible police state. 1. An infallible police state is when a police state is  incapable of making mistakes or being wrong.  This is used throughout the movie with the pre-crime unit. 2. I think it would be great if the police and justice system were never wrong, due to how it would eliminate wrongful convictions, which are one of the worst things to happen in society. 3. There is an ongoing case with Steven Avery, who was arrested in Wisconsin and sentenced to life in prison for murdering a woman.  Many believe that he is innocent, and with the pre-crime unit, if he was innocent he would never have been sent to prison.

Cesar Camilo - Shark Tank vs The Profit

Marcus is a better investor because he contributes to the business and helps around the place. He is also spending money out of his pocket because he knows he will get a major return on it. I would rather work with Marcus because he can actually help me with my business and improve my sales. The difference between Marcus Lemois and the Shark Tank is Marcus is there in person solving every problem financially and business that will boost their sales. Shark Tank don’t get the full experience of being in someone's business store. They are only listening to pitches and it’s an easy no or yes. Shark Tank could increase their money if they went to the owners business and fix it around. My choice is Marcus Lemois.

Marcus Lemonis vs Sharks Quentin H

I think the Sharks are better as they seem to have built much larger empires than Marcus's companies, and they convey much more authority and presence than Marcus does. Given that my product is an app and is targeted at the information technology and consumer market I think Mark Cuban would be the best investor for my product since this is his area of expertise. I would rather work with Mark because he seems more focused on technology than Marcus. One big difference in how the Sharks and Marcus invest is that when Marcus invests, he tends to help the business a lot and he is very hands-on, while the sharks expect the business owners to do most of the heavy lifting themselves.

Personally, I like The Profit better because Marcus Lemonis is there for you every step of the way. He is guaranteed to help your business grow and expand throughout the country. He takes a hands-on approach. Considering my product, I would rather work with Marcus Lemonis. Eventually, I would like to expand my company and put my product in major stores around the country instead of only online. I feel like he would help me more because he would be alongside of me the whole time. He is not only looking for money to make, he actually wants to help me with my business. One major difference between Marcus Lemonis and the investors on Shark Tank is the purpose of both of these shows. In my opinion, the purpose of Shark Tank is to highlight the negotiations. As in, what the product is. On The Profit, the purpose is to get the business to the next level and they show that all the way throughout the episode.
