Meghan Maguire-Minority Report

Define Term: An endorsement of technology by society means that society is accepting and approving the use of technology that is being used. An endorsement is a form of public support or approval. In the movie Minority Report society in Washington DC endorsed all the different technology that was being used by the pre crime unit.
Should this term be used as part of the society?
I think that endorsement of technology by society should be used by society. I think this because technology is constantly growing and society needs to support it for the most part. The technology that we have today to help us with our everyday tasks would not be here if society had not supported it. I think when the technology will only end up causing negative effects on society we should not endorse it.
Recent events in the news: I think that if this technology had been in place the parkland high school shooting would not have occurred. I think the the pre crime unit could have predicted that the guy would have done the crime and stopped him before he did. I think that this crime took a lot of time to plan and the pre crime unit would have had time to stop him.

1)An infallible police state is when the police do not make any mistakes. The whole process of handling crime is perfect and no has no flaws. The police system in Minority Report is said to be infallible by the people who live in the area. The administrators and everyone who works at the police department think that their method is flawless because the murder and crime rate has decreased drastically since they began using this system. 2)I don’t think that this should be used in our society because it is not flawless. The creator of the system herself said that the whole thing is very flawed and that innocent people have had their lives taken away because of this. I think that there is a lot of room for error with this system. People do not always act upon what they are thinking and the whole future telling thing can’t always be so reliable.
