Minority Report Mark Russo
Pre-Crime as a sign of an infallible police state
1) The term "infallible police state" refers to the advertised success rate of the Pre-Crime program. In the movie the police have a 90% success rate in stopping murders, this method yields results that tend to be without fail.
2) I believe this type of policing wouldn't be plausible in our society. Not only would it be the cause of public outrage over the invasion of privacy yet it would also be likely impossible to enact such a program into cities across the US. The crime in major cities is too vast to be fixed by such a direct solution.
3) This program would be most useful in stopping crimes of domestic abuse being that Pre-Crime is most effective against crimes of passion.
